Based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman, as presented in his New York Times bestselling book The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, this educational workshop is designed to strengthen your relationship.

Throughout the workshop couples engage experientially with the Seven Principles. Lectures, demonstrations, videos, and private couples’ activities help couples put concepts into action. These fun and insightful practices are shown to improve the couples’ friendship and the quality of sex, romance, and passion. Research also demonstrated an increase in constructive conflict discussions and a decrease in destructive conflict conversations (Babcock, Gottman, Ryan, & Gottman, 2013) for workshop attendees.

The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) workshop is a research-based and research-tested psychoeducational workshop for couples. It is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families (principally, their parents relationship).

Research shows that within three years after the birth of a child, approximately two-thirds of parents will experience a significant drop in their relationship quality and will have a dramatic increase in conflict and hostility. We also know that a couple’s emotional connection is the foundation for a baby’s development.

The goal of BBH is to equip couples with the knowledge and skill sets needed to constructively cope with the various changes that typically occur during the first three years after their baby is born and enhance their relationship quality during this time.
